Combined heat and power units (CHP units) require maintenance and, in particular, good service support from the manufacturer or the commissioned specialist partner. In this respect, the customer expects a service not only for the gas engine unit, but for the entire plant, including the electrical control system and peripheral devices. Every hour that the system is at a standstill costs the operator money or deprives him of the profit from the possible energy production of electricity and heat. Professional maintenance is therefore crucial for the safety and optimal operation of a CHP unit.

42technology offers the customer a professional service for its products. Our service organisation is essentially structured as follows:

  • Experienced and well-trained specialist personnel for mechanical and electrical service
  • Centrally located service workshop in Aarwangen with spare parts warehouse
  • Service vehicle fleet fully equipped with special tools and measuring devices
  • Partnership with reliable suppliers regarding lubricants and operating fluids

As an authorised partner of KW Energie, we are the competent partner in Switzerland for servicing smartblock® CHPs. We ensure a long service life and high durability of the system. 42technology also provides service support for the CHP control system with MWM gas engines in various hospitals. Our expert service team is characterised by reliable and efficient execution of maintenance work. In addition, our customers appreciate our many years of experience with gas engine CHP units.

Remote diagnostics and monitoring

Self-developed "Diagnostic System

As a control specialist, we introduced the service on investment control via remote access early and very successfully. This concept is constantly being developed and refined. If required, the responsible 42technology engineer can log directly into the control system of a CHP unit. Data can be retrieved and analysed. After commissioning, the operating mode as well as the operation of the CHP unit itself can be further optimised in this way. In the event of a malfunction, the system can be accessed directly and any necessary measures can be initiated. Thanks to regular remote analysis, we can detect irregularities in a CHP plant at an early stage and make any necessary modifications directly online. Support can be provided in German, English and French.

Operational safety

Maximum operational reliability through high-quality service or maintenance contracts

42technology offers the operator various service contracts. Maintenance contracts tailored to the systems can be concluded, ranging from partial to complete maintenance contracts (including all spare and wear parts). In addition, we guarantee special conditions for original spare parts and operating materials. In the case of lubricants, the service engineer supervises the oil analyses and makes a recommendation for the lubricating oil change accordingly. Furthermore, the contract holder benefits from updates of the CHP control system. Remote maintenance is part of the contract and included in the maintenance price. With 42technology maintenance contracts, the operator is well protected and retains full cost control.
