Precise - Powerful - Reliable

The patented input circuit of the Arcteq protection relays delivers highest accuracy and makes the devices world champions. The precision coupled with powerful protection features provides a perfect platform for demanding protection applications.

The input circuit of the Arcteq protection devices enables frequency-independent measurement with unprecedented resolution and detail over the measurement range of 6-75Hz. Measurement (class 02S) and protection in one device become possible.

Change - fast and uncomplicated

The free AQtivate 200 software saves valuable development time with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. The changeover to Arcteq protection devices can be accomplished without any problems. The logical structure makes setup easy to understand. The software tools support programming and commissioning. The configurations created in this way are traceable and can therefore be easily maintained. We accompany you through all phases of your projects and are there for you if necessary.

A system that inspires

The graphical display of the protective relays is fully configurable. In addition to the display of switching objects and measured values, the lines of the single line diagram can be topologically colored. State-dependent message displays support troubleshooting and provide clear visibility. The large display allows comprehensive representations of all system parts (e.g. several feeders on one display or switch representation of the opposite side). The designations are clear and understandable and thus increase the operational safety in your network.

Ethernet communication ensures fast and seamless data transmission. Our protection devices communicate via a variety of standard protocols, including the IEC 61850 communication standard for substations and the fast GOOSE.

Outstanding customer support

In recent years, Arcteq products have been installed all over the world. In addition to high-quality products, we are committed to providing our customers with industry-leading support and service.

Arc fault protection

Arc fault protection - for personal and property protection

In recent years, the application of arc fault protection based on light sensing has become the new standard of energized equipment.

In addition to protecting people, the goal of protective measures is also to maintain plant function and minimize operational downtime. Arcteq is the pioneer and technology leader in arc fault protection. The design and production of these high-tech products are 100% carried out in Finland.

IEC 61850 communication and other protocols

Thanks to the comprehensive support of protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870, Modbus, DNP3 and others, Arcteq protection devices can be seamlessly integrated into existing environments.

The IEC 61850 standard offers a number of advantages for electrical engineering, particularly with regard to communication between devices in medium and high-voltage electrical switchgear. One of the most important advantages is interoperability, which makes it possible for devices from different manufacturers to communicate with each other. This makes engineering easier and reduces the amount of testing required, as the devices do not have to be adapted to communicate with each other. Another advantage is investment protection and reusability.

GOOSE

An important aspect of IEC 61850 is the GOOSE (Generic Object Oriented Substation Event) protocol, which is used for communication between field devices. GOOSE is a real-time network protocol that transmits device status information from field to field at regular intervals. A typical application is plant interlocks, which replace wiring between field devices.

The GOOSE network protocol sets new standards in communication between devices. GOOSE stands for Generic Object Oriented Substation Event. The network protocol can replace conventional wire connections between field devices. Surprisingly, the transmission of signals via GOOSE even works a lot faster and offers built-in wire monitoring with the signal quality. GOOSE is based on the IEC 61850 standard and can be used for interlocking across plants, among other applications. Signal changes can be made quickly and without new wiring thanks to GOOSE. GOOSE also enables the switching of setting groups, the blocking of protective functions or the transfer of switch positions and measured values.
